The Story

The aarti thali is ready and the mandap is done, but the corner still needs light. These lotus candles sit low around the chowki with a soft flame that moves like a real one, in a cream lotus that suits the idol beside it. Ring the base of the mandap or line them along the steps for the evening aarti. There is no wax to drip on the silver and no smoke near the idol, and they come out again next year.

What's Included:

  • Lotus shaped LED candles, sold from 3 pieces onwards
  • Each candle runs on 3 LR44 watch batteries, and the batteries are included
  • Batteries last about 48 hours and swap out through the tab underneath
  • Nothing to assemble, switch them on and place them

How many candles do I need?

  • To ring a chowki like the one in the photos, about 12
  • For the chowki and the steps around it, 18 to 30
  • For a small mandir shelf, 3 to 6 is enough
  • They look best clustered close together rather than spread thin

Care

  • Take the batteries out after visarjan and store the candles in their box
  • No wax, no soot on the wall and nothing to throw away afterwards

Ways to style it

One piece, many moments — here's how our customers style theirs.

Ring the Chowki
01
Ring the Chowki
Set about twelve close together around the base so the light wraps the idol.
Up the Steps
02
Up the Steps
Stagger them over boxes at different heights so the mandap has depth.
One Beside the Idol
03
One Beside the Idol
A single candle on the chowki is enough for a small mandir shelf.
