The Story
Diwali means the table is laid for more people than usual, and the house wants to look different from an ordinary week. These banana leaves are wipe-clean plastic, cut and veined like a real leaf, and they work as place settings down the dining table or pinned behind the pooja shelf as a backdrop. Set them out once and they hold their colour all five days. Pack them away afterwards and they come out the same next year.
