The Story

Ganpati is home for ten days and the mandap needs something standing either side of him. Each piece is a small cane drum topped with yellow marigolds, white chrysanthemums and dark green leaves, about nine inches tall. Stand a pair on either side of the chowki, or line four across the back for a fuller setting. The flowers are artificial silk, so they hold their colour right through to visarjan and come out again next year.

What's Included:

  • 1 Meera Centre Piece per unit, ready to place
  • Cane drum base with artificial silk flowers fixed on top
  • About 9 inches tall
  • Nothing to assemble or arrange

How many do I need?

  • 2 to stand either side of the chowki, which is the setting most people want
  • 3 to run across the back of the mandap
  • 5 for a full mandap like the one in the photos, with a spare for the entrance
  • 1 on its own works on a small mandir shelf or a side table

Care

  • Wipe the flowers with a damp cloth and store the piece in a dry place
  • No water, no wilting and no petals to sweep up after visarjan

Ways to style it

One piece, many moments — here's how our customers style theirs.

Either Side of the Idol
01
Either Side of the Idol
Stand a pair on the chowki so the idol sits framed between them.
Four Across the Back
02
Four Across the Back
Raise the outer two on boxes so the mandap has height at the edges.
With a Garland
03
With a Garland
Let a jasmine garland fall from the drum and pool on the table below.

Questions, answered

Two is the usual setting, one standing either side of the chowki. Three runs across the back, and five gives you a full mandap like the photos.
About 9 inches, which sits well next to a seated idol without hiding it.

No, they are fixed to the drum. It arrives ready to stand, with nothing to arrange.
Yes. Wipe the flowers with a damp cloth and store it in a dry place. It looks the same next year.
