The Story

Ganesh Chaturthi and the days around it are when the mandir and the front door need to look their best, and this is the easiest way to do it. Gold pleated marigolds and green leaves sit along a twisted red and yellow cord, with a fine silver star chain and small warm bulbs running through, six feet in all. Swag it above the idol, across the door frame or down the dining table. Pack it away afterwards and it comes out looking the same next year.

What's Included:

  • 1 Festive Fairy Light, 72 inches long
  • Gold pleated gota flowers, green leaves and a silver star chain on a moli
  • Warm white LED bulbs set along a fine copper wire
  • Runs on 2 AA batteries, which are not included and easy to find
  • Nothing to assemble, switch it on and hang it

Details

  • Length: 72 inches
  • Made of: Pleated fabric marigolds, artificial leaves, silver star chain and gold ribbon on a twisted cord
  • Light: Warm white LED bulbs along the copper wire
  • Battery: AA x 2 (not included), replaceable through the tab
  • The flowers do not light up. The small bulbs along the wire give the light.

Where to use it

  • Swagged above the idol and along the ledge of the pooja mandir
  • Across the front door frame, with strands falling down both sides
  • Down the middle of the dining table, coiled around a handi or a bowl
  • Around a mirror or a picture frame in the drawing room
  • Arranged in a circle around a brass diya on a puja thali
  • Hanging in lengths from a tree or a balcony beam

Care

  • Take the batteries out when it is not in use and coil it loosely to store
  • Dust the flowers with a dry brush or a hairdryer on cool
  • No flame, no heat and no wire trailing to a socket

Questions, answered

No. The small bulbs along the copper wire give the light while the gold marigolds, leaves and star chain sit between them.
No. It runs on 2 AA batteries which are not included and easy to find. They swap out through the tab on the battery box.
72 inches, which is six feet. Long enough to swag above a mandir, run across a door frame or go down the middle of a dining table.
The cord is light, so two small hooks or a bit of double sided tape at each corner holds it. The photos show it swagged twice across the top with the ends falling down both sides.
Yes, on a balcony or under a tree as in the photos. Bring it in during heavy rain since the battery box is not sealed.
Yes. It stays cool with no flame, no smoke and no wax, so it is safe around children and pets.
Same 72 inch length and the same AA batteries as Roma. This one is a traditional toran with gold marigolds and a star chain on a red and yellow cord, made for the pooja room and the front door rather than the drawing room.
